A few weeks ago, my sister-in-law, Tiffany, and her fianceé, Jason, asked me to be their wedding photographer. Happily, I accepted the job of shooting my first wedding, and we decided to do an engagement session at Grosse Point Lighthouse in Evanston, Illinois.
The lighthouse is where Jason proposed to Tiffany, and it’s a fantastic location…having a small wooded area, beach access, flower gardens and the lighthouse itself. In addition, this was a location that they want to shoot some photos before their wedding ceremony, so it was perfect for me to gain some familiarity with it, and work out a few shots in my head before their wedding day.
Their engagement session was quick due to the setting sun, and an abundance of people walking around the lighthouse grounds, but we made due and got a few nice photographs to mark the occasion.
