Gen2 Chicago MINI Motoring Club R56 & R55 MINIs at Superdawg.

On Saturday night, the Chicago MINI Motoring Club had a meet-up at Superdawg in Wheeling. It has been a few years since I have attended a CMMC event, but I am glad Carson and I were able to attend. We both enjoyed looking at some awesome MINIs, ate some great Superdawgs, and Carson’s favorite part…a chocolate Supershake.

In all, nearly 50 MINIs attended the event, which included parading our MINIs through some neighborhoods before heading over to Superdawg. It was nice to see a healthy dose of Generation One (R50/R53) MINIs at the event, representing what I still contend is the better looking of the BMW-era MINIs (I still love you Generation Two-ers, no worries). There was even a classic Austin Mini Cooper “Clubman” leading the parade. It was a great night, with some great looking MINIs, great food, and great music. It was a really fun night, and nice to be able to attend one last event, and give my 2003 MINI Cooper S one last hurrah.

So thanks to the Chicago MINI Motoring Club for putting the event together, and Superdawg for hosting all us MINIacs.
