CMMC: Starved Rock Autumn Drive
CMMC MINIs at Starved Rock State Park.
On November 1st, the Chicago MINI Motoring Club did their annual autumn drive down to Starved Rock State Park. It was about as perfect a day as you could have for an autumn drive…sunny, 70 degrees, beautiful. So the entire family piled into our Clubman, and went along for the drive. If you’ve never been to Starved Rock State Park, do yourself a favor and check it out sometime.

Salsa Bandera Recipe
Salsa Fresca, aka Salsa Bandera
During summer especially, I make A LOT of salsa fresca…otherwise know as salsa bandera, as the colors of the tomato, onion, and japalño match those of the Mexican flag. Salsa bandera is incredibly simple to make, and it is extremely versatile…use it as a traditional salsa with tortilla chips, or a topping on your street tacos. Salsa bandera is especially good as a garnish for fish tacos, especially when paired with a good hot sauce.
