A gorgeous October morning, and I hooked a trio of Largemouth Bass on my new casting rod and reel. The first guy, I managed to just barely hook on a swim jig, and honestly, I not quite sure how he didn’t throw the hook while fighting. A pretty nice largemouth, and definitely the biggest I’ve pulled out of this lake…he was roughly 20-22 inches in length, and probably 2.5 lbs. or so.
The second and third Largemouth Bass were smaller, and more typical of what I usually pull out of this lake…roughly 15 inches in length, and a pound or so in weight. I also hooked them on a swim jig, being pulled through the weeds.
