During the weekdays (with the occasional evening/night or weekend mixed in for good measure) I work as the Network Manager for a Adlai E. Stevenson High School, nationally recognized, four-time Blue Ribbon Award winner for Excellence in Education, in the northern suburbs of Chicago. There, I am responsible for all aspects of the district’s network and server infrastructure and operations…well, with some very good help that is. In short, I’m the man behind the curtain making sure everyone can send/receive email and surf the Internet – all in the name of education, of course.

I attended the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), in the historic and beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design. If you’re wondering, “what is an Industrial Designer?”, don’t worry, you’re not alone. I’m asked that question all the time. In short, an Industrial Designer designs products…everything from automobiles and iPads/iPhones/iPods, to toys and toothbrushes.

When I am not managing networks and servers, you can typically find me with my camera in hand (or in the bag slung over my shoulder) scratching my artistic/creative itch via photography. The rest of the time…I am a self-described Mac Geek, Tweeter (@sdiver), car guy, Formula One fan, music lover, sometimes guitar player, aspiring grill-master, dog lover and most importantly, the father to an amazing son and husband to a beautiful wife.
