While I still love seeing live music, as I have gotten older, there just aren’t many musicians I am willing to pay money to go see live anymore.
Over the past few years though, Jason Isbell has become one of my favorite (if not my favorite) artists, and someone I really wanted to see live. So when I saw he was going to be in Chicago, I had to get tickets.
I was not disappointed. The concert was at the fantastic Auditorium Theater in downtown Chicago, and truth be told, this venue probably spoiled every Jason Isbell show I attend for the rest of my life.
The show was heavy on songs from their latest album, The Nashville Sound, which is a phenomenal album and they killed it live…and the cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Wrote a Song for Everyone was wholly unexpected and amazing.
